CANCELLED: Taking the Plunge 2011, Saturday 5th March, 2011

Unfortunately the above event has had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. The ARLIS Student and Trainees Committee apologises for any inconvenience and disappointment that this causes.

We hope to reschedule the day and will contact all once this has been arranged. Delegates who have already sent payment by cheque will have their cheques returned to them this week.

Forthcoming STC event: "Taking the Plunge: art librarianship as a career option"

"Taking the Plunge: art librarianship as a career option" will this year be held on Saturday 5th March 2011 at the National Gallery in London. This popular event is aimed at students, trainees, library assistants and anyone interested in a career in art & design librarianship. Highlights of the day include:

An academic librarian - Peter Winning, London College of Fashion
How to create the perfect CV - Infomatch
Working with special collections - Richard Daniels, Stanley Kubrick Archive
Working solo in art & design librarianship - Rachel Brockhurst, Crafts Council
The lowdown from a recent graduate - Richard Swales, University for the Creative Arts

The day will end with a tour of the National Gallery library.
